Sorah Myung

Chamber Music Faculty
A violinist and a violist, Sorah Myung has a busy musical career. She served as a concertmaster at La Mirada Symphony Orchestra, holds a position as an assistant violist at the Mozart Classical Orchestra and subs with Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Also, she is a chair at the Musical Arts Competition of Orange County Strings division.

As a dedicated pedagogue, Ms. Myung is in great demand as a teacher, a coach and a lecturer. She taught at Orange County School of the Arts for six years. Currently Ms. Myung is a part-time faculty at Irvine Valley College and Vanguard University and has been a string clinician at the Irvine and Capistrano Unified School Districts in Southern California.

Ms. Myung received her Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory, has a performance certificate from DePaul University, and a Master of Music degree from Yale University School of Music.

Ms. Myung has played at AIMS music festival in Austria for ten years and now she is spending summer as an orchestra musician at the Festival of Arts Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, CA.
