ACMP’s Ensemble Lirico in a master class with members of the Kronos Quartet

“Our current members of Ensemble Lirico have been together for nearly a decade. Coming from a variety of career backgrounds, and most of us now retired, we met each other in community music groups and decided to further our music experiences as an ensemble group that has included arrangements of piano quintets, string quartets, string and piano trios and some arrangements with clarinet, flute and guitar. Although we have had some brief coachings for our ensemble group in the past, our recent coachings and recording sessions with Iryna Krechkovsky and Chamber Music OC have been so valuable to us!

We have been flexible in taking her instructions and quickly applying them to our music pieces, growing in our skills personally and as an ensemble group. What a wonderful and enriching journey, especially working on the Beethoven “late” quartet, a labor of love for us!

Thank you for your endless patience and dedication to educating our ensemble group. We look forward to a continued musical partnership!”

ACMP Participant Ensemble

“I was delighted when Chamber Music | OC decided to branch out into the world of older musicians! As a recently retired violinist playing in a string quart, I am thrilled to have this opportunity for our ensemble to improve and grow musically in ways that would not possible without a coach on the side, patiently listening critically.

Iryna has been wonderful in identifying where we can improve our intonation, phrasing, and ensemble playing, and I look forward to many more coaching sessions with her.”
