Welcome

“OC’s undisputed center for the genre” – Culture OC

Thirteen years ago, we launched Chamber Music | OC—an Orange County-based arts initiative dedicated to promoting the art of chamber music through performance, education, and community engagement. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, the organization has grown into one of the most vibrant arts entities in the classical music industry, impacting thousands of lives every year through a diverse portfolio of programming.

Like many arts organizations, we faced unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Important milestones, such as our 10-year anniversary at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the world premiere of Breaking the Silence at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, were cancelled. Yet, our commitment to bringing world-class chamber music to Orange County remained unwavering. In August 2020, we launched the Boundless Capital Campaign to support a bold new initiative: the acquisition and transformation of a 4,000-square-foot commercial space in Lake Forest. Eight months later, CMOC HQ was complete, welcoming back our artists, Pre-College participants, and audiences we had missed so dearly.

Today, our nationally recognized Pre-College Program continues to provide unparalleled chamber music training to the next generation of musicians, while our Adult Chamber Music Program offers lifelong learners the joy of ensemble performance. Chamber Music OC’s acoustically engineered Weinstein Performance Space, with its full-service recording studio and HD streaming capabilities, serves the community by hosting hundreds of performances, recording sessions, and educational workshops annually. Through these programs and ongoing community engagement partnerships, Chamber Music OC has become “OC’s undisputed center for the genre” (Culture OC), fostering a deep connection between artists, audiences, and the community at large.

We invite you to join us for the 2024/25 season! Highlights include Signature Series performances by The Todd Cochran Trio (TC3), our Ensemble-in-Residence Trio Céleste in partnership with the Da Camera Society of Los Angeles, and GRAMMY-nominated cellist Seth Parker Woods, who received the 2022 Michael Jaffee Visionary Award from Chamber Music America. The season also features master classes and workshops by distinguished artists such as Lina Bahn, Chair of Strings at USC, and Annie Fullard, Chair of Chamber Music at the Peabody Institute and violinist of the Cavani Quartet.

With your continued support, Chamber Music | OC remains deeply committed to growing and inspiring our community and enriching lives through the transformative power of music and collaboration. Together, we can ensure that the best is yet to come!
